Sergeant Done!

Not so happy with the yellow on the blade. I'd like to do diagonal black stripes but I suck at free hand. Even to the point of drawing straight lines. It's a sickness I tell ya.

The rest of him looks snazzy though. Needs to be glossed then matte varnished, and the turf has to be added to his base but otherwise done. Oh yeah, and his hands need to be the same color as his belt so he can have gloves and not frostbitten fingers.

What do ya think? Worth it to do an army like this?

15 Guardsmen Primed

So, in an effort to preserve my sanity, I've devised a way of mass priming models. Previously I'd just lay them onto cardboard and spray em, but that meant they had 2 sides that weren't too well coated, and the occasional painted meteorite sailing into some dirt or the carpet which wasn't too pleasant.

So I've come up with this:



And this is them after priming.




Now to get some color on these bad boys.

Inquistor Done!

I've finished my Slaanesh inquisitor.

I hate him.

Maybe I can sell him. Try again with the model. Hair's daft, skin isn't right, arm didn't join properly to the hand, wrong hand for the model, weapon's too big, base isn't fantastic, shield coloration isn't 100% to my liking.

Oh well. Can't win em all.

I've Moved!

Well, I've moved my crafting/painting area in my apartment. Still live in the same place though.

So here is the new & improved work station. No more stuff on the kitchen table & counter. It's all here, in my closet, and on my book shelf. Not bad eh?

Now if the rest of the place didn't look like a grenade had gone off...

Slaanesh Inquisitor

This will eventually be my inquisitor lord. Equipped with Storm Bolter & Storm Shield. Slaanesh for the uninitiated is the God of Excess. Plus they like pink & purple.

So, that's 10 heads, stuck to 10 torsos, stuck to 10 legs.

And I've got an Aegis Defense line! Which means to me that I've 4 ready to use defense lines, 4 heavy weapon team base detail pieces (the single defense line bits) and the makings of a Hydra conversion.

Not bad for $20.

So, just a small inventory of what I got in my purchase, in case anyone is interested.

Probably around 100 Cadians
5-10 Rough Riders (Converted onto Carnosaurs or whatever that lizard man thing is)
Around 20 Karsarkin (Plus 5 or so of the OOP ones)
3 or 4 Sentinels
and 3 converted Leman Russ Punishers. As evidenced by these photos.






And now I've got to organize all of this stuff. I'll give a more thorough inventory once I've got everything organized. I'm also considering trying to hock some of it, since I got a TON of stuff. :) All for the best I say.

So I've recently purchased a significantly priced bundle of Imperial Guard. Well, guess what was delivered this morning?


Not 1, but two packages later this is the contents roughly organized on the kitchen counter.




Don't think this means I need less Imperial Guard. Though I do suppose this means if you know anyone who'd like some Orks I've got some for sale :)

Now to dig out the kitchen from the toy soldiers.

Vanquisher update

Not dead, but also not painting. I'm working on a significant conversion, since I'd really like a Leman Russ Vanquisher. So, I've started work on one!

Here are some comparison shots of a standard Leman Russ and my conversion.

Also, the guys on sticks are so I don't smudge the paint job. Just so's ya know.

So progress has been achieved. I've started basing my Company Commander




And his squad. The guy without any orange on his chest is going to be a platoon commander. Maybe. Might be an alternate Company Commander. Who knows. Pics!

Birthday Wish List!

Well, other than snapping my Hell Hammer in half and re-glueing it, I didn't accomplish anything today. I was going to take pictures but the battery was dead. Again. Seems to be happening a lot recently.
